  1. Do you offer samples?
    On occasion we do offer samples at some events where we showcase Little Sisters soap. However, we cannot ship samples on request.

    We do not have a printed catalog. We feel it is more responsible and respectful of the environment for us to be as paperless as possible.

    We can custom make any soap in our collections without fragrance.

  4. What if I have a particular scent in mind for my soap?
    We will make every effort to custom make your special fragrance. We have many essential and fragrance oils in our inventory. We'll be glad to cook up something a little special just for you.

  6. How is your soap packaged?
    Unless stated otherwise, our soaps are packaged in a clear compostable cello bag with an ingredient label on the back.

  8. Do you do children's birthday parties?
    Yes! Our birthday parties are a ton of fun. Just tell us where to be and how many guests and we'll provide all the necessary items for your guests to make their own custom 8 oz bar of soap. Visit our Soap Parties page for more information.

  11. Are you a green, socially responsible company?
    We work very hard to be extremely green and highly socially responsible. Whenever possible (which is a great deal of the time) we purchase only recycled packaging and shipping supplies. We also support local charities by giving gift baskets to their auctions, and we give away many dozens of pounds of soap a year to Interact, a local organization that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault.

  12. Why does my slice of soap look different than the one in the picture?
    Each loaf of soap and its design is handcrafted. This will result in a slight variance from loaf to loaf.

  13. Are your products tested on animals?
    NEVER! We love our four-legged friends. We only test our products on our family and friends.

  14. How does our soap compare to "beauty bars" available on the market?
    It doesn't. And I say this because to compare our homemade soap to a commercially manufactured "beauty bar" would be like comparing apples to walnuts. That is, products labeled "beauty bar" or "moisturizing bar" or "facial bar" at the store do so because they cannot claim to be SOAP. They're a detergent, or a combination bar using soap and detergent.

  15. What are my payment options?
    We accept most major credit cards and paypal through our website. If you would like to pay by check or money order, just call us with your order and we'll help you with the details. Payment is due at time of order.

  16. Is your site secure? I want to use a credit card.
    Our shopping cart is encrypted and we use Authorize.net as our gateway. For added security, your credit card number does not appear on any receipts. Our payment processor is PCI compliant and we take all precautions necessary to guard any personal information.

  17. What is your privacy policy?
    We take your right to privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable using our website. We do capture your personal information when you place an order. We do not share that information with anyone (except where required by law!).

  21. What are your shipping charges?
    Shipping charges vary depending on your location. They are calculated when you checkout. We charge a small handling fee - just enough to cover the cost of supplies only.

  22. I'm local; can I pick up my purchases or will you deliver?
    Yes! We will call you when your order is ready. We can meet you at a designated location. Or, we can deliver your purchase to you if you are within the Triangle area, North Carolina.

  23. May I return my products?
    We accept returns on incorrect orders only. We regret that we cannot accept returns on opened or used products. If the product(s) you received are not what you ordered, please call or email us for a return authorization. Please explain what you ordered, what you received, and how you'd like us to correct your order (exchange or refund). The products that you return must be unused and unopened.
